The Vegetarian Defense

Anand Bhavan Quotes Mahatma Gandhi [ although i can't recall verbatim of the quote] referring to eating habits of human saying that our digestive system has more similarity to the non-meat eating animals on the planet, So why consume meat?-Hence Go vegetarian!

Although i don't buy the argument that if somebody does it I need to do it or follow it [typical youth dialogue ],

Why am i vegetarian?- Before it might have been because of how i was brought up, but now i am a vegetarian by choice,

What is vegetarian ?- honestly my knowledge is limited and my inference is non-meat is vegetarian, [but few sects of budhists might say "you consume milk and other derivatives" ok in that case i am a Bovine Vegetarian as i consume milk and its derivatives]

Why does one has to be vegetarian? Just to maintain equilibrium [humor] ,

So what is this weird thing that only Indian Origins trace vegetarianism [to the best of my knowledge] some digging and soul searching and scratching yielded some logical sense to this practice,

Since these forefathers had so much time because they didn't have mobiles and internet, they sat back and thought and devised a system of Necessity.

They asked a question who need to be strong like those who need to fight and do immense physical work, Ok you soldiers [Kshtriyas] and farmers [Shudras]- "Go On Eat whatever you want and be strong",

Then the Intellects [Brahmins] and the businessmen [Vaishyas] do you need to be strong ? Naah! not really you do all the brainy jobs right ? So you don't need to eat meat Go Vegan! as simple as that so that we maintain a balance in the ecology.

And then came all the evangelization and nonsense and since there was no google or facebook or orkut tagging those days they started tagging everything to caste and customs and compulsion bla bla bla.

So bottom line you decide whats good for Thyself,

Nobody can impose or demand somebody who leaves on the sea shore No you can't have the fish You should have the plants, milk and cereals, that are may be 500 Miles away.

And i am still confused what's all this posing nude and saying Eat VEGETARIAN ? [Give me a Break]

Does that work i am curious to know
how many of them have been able to convert because they saw somebody pose Nude with a Vegetable, ridiculously insane.

There it is- I rest my case !
